Downtime Charts
« on: July 17, 2010, 08:32:16 PM »
Is there a chart that has downtime that are up to date? I don't believe the one on the trainer website is correct.

"Downtime" - you mean like when Skuzzy trip over the power cord and the game goes offline?

I don't have a clue what "downtime" you could be referring to - I suspect most others won't either.  Could you elaborate?

I suspect he's talking about how long things stay down if they are killed, such as hangers or acks.
Why he thinks the one on the trainers site is incorrect I have no clue.

For example the radar downtime says 2 hours, but from what im told it is 45 min. Same with a CV, i was told CV is down for 10 min, the says 5 min.

My guess is the time is correct. Radar is a "resupplyable" item. So as you resupply the base it will shorten the time radar is down.

As for the CV time to respawn, the 5 minutes may be correct also. Just time it your self the next time one of your countrymen yells out he killed another fight.....err sunk the CV  :devil

I thought CV re-spawn time was 10min as well.

Yes, the Primary Ship (CV) respawn time is 10 minutes, not 5 minutes.

(I thought that was corrected years ago, but apparently not.  :o)

So now I'm confused.  The time from the carrier going down to it's respawn is 10 minutes? But the time from the task group disappearing to the respawn is 5 minutes?

The task group won't respawn until the CV is sunk.  When the CV is sunk, the whole TG respawns at its port 10 minutes later.

Yeah I knew that, for some reason I always thought it was 15 minutes from when the CV was sunk.

Kudos to the OP for finding the error.

As far as "2 hours" is concerned...

That is the MOST it can stay down.

Let us say you just porked some ord at an enemy field.

IF the Ammo strat is at 0% (i.e. destroyed) and the City strat is also 0% then that ord you destroyed will stay down for 2 hours.

This can be shortened by resupplying.  Each batch takes 15 min. off the resupply time.  So 8 guys with m3's that have Field Supplies could bring back the ord you porked in one trip.  4 m3's it will stay down one hour, etc, etc..

(does this all still happen btw?  I never pay attention to Strat anymore)

Nearly impossible to get strat down to 0% at the current set-up.  A massive mission could bring it down into single digits but there would have to be some suicide jabos or guns to try and finish off the rest, if they have the fuel for the flight there.  Even if you did, resupply would be quick and easy for the attacked country.

Maybe better chances on a really small map where a base is captured close to the strat and a couple guys make the 45 min drive to hit strat.
