Capturing A Feild
« on: July 23, 2010, 01:39:01 AM »
The new Town is incredabley realistic. I can find the new capture the flag, flag poll. But, how much of the new town has to be destroyed before troops can take it. It looks like a real European WW2 French town. Laberanth of alleys and roads. I cannot find any auto ack offline. I can see the texture mask for the town object and it more realisticly follows the terrain and roads. How do you take then new town?

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

Same as ever.

Check out the street names.   :D

Signs lead the way to the "Town Headquarters", the map room.

Where did the ack go?

Might need a few more bombs than before. Some of those buildings are pretty scattered.

Also town buildings no longer seem to be as vulnerable to gunfire as they used to be.
I suspect osti or wirbles killing town buildings are a thing of the past.

The new town is going to be tougher to take down because it's so spread out. Bombers should be able to take the town center down effectively, but the buildings on the outskirts will be more difficult. Recon to see if the town is fully down will also be more difficult.

No auto acks at town?

The Bureau of Aerial Defense was waiting on proper zoning request to be approved by the town council. Those request have been approved and construction of said AA emplacements shall begin shortly.

we took down a couple of towns last night, finding the last few buildings is tough!
I also wondered, what is to stop the re-take now that there are no guns? is someone gonna have to safe guard against this by staying with the town till it pops?
not a problem  just a question!

So we're back to having European architecture for maps inspired by the PTO (NDIsles, Mindnao, the various historical maps).

Would like to see some rice paper villages for the PTO maps.  I've just completed the installation of bat bombs on my B-29.  :D
