A different kind of tracer all together for offline mode gunnery practice. A high bright visible red or orange as every single round that can be seen clearly out to 1500 yards fired from aircraft and 2500 yards fired from soft ack. The games tracers dissapere into the landscape clutter and into the haze layer very quickly other wise.
The lead computing green cross is distracting trying to focus on it. You don't really learn the sight picture related to lead and elevation as much as you anticipate the moving green cross and the aircrafts line of travel. The cross is not as accurate as one would imagine. I miss as often with it on as off. Does it even recalibrate when you change convergence for each aricraft? It does give you a perspective on the impact point differences between MG and Cannon. But, past about 300 yards, it's not much more accurate than my knowlege of the games gunnery after all of these years.
Giving us high glow pixels like a gamey fire hose would be better. We have airshow smoke offline and in the TA don't we? That way without having to film your practice and watch the film you can see the extent of the tracer track and how much its missing in real time to adjust for the next drone in 30sec. Or, not to need to zoom to maximum to see the current tracers pass by the con which takes away your visual perspective by focusing your sight picture down to the wingspan of the con. Since game gratification and possibly retention is all about those kills, and this would be the offline EASY MODE of easy modes for all new "never pulled a flight sim trigger" customers 8yrs to 80yrs. Then couple that with the green lead comp cross............
Kind of like those gamey red and green tracer pixels in AW..........
