Cable Management
« on: September 02, 2010, 12:28:55 PM »
Most guys when they build a system don't take the time for "cable management".  This is a very important step!  It assists with air flow within the case as well as less places for dust to collect and impede your systems cooling ability.

This is the same system with before and after pictures.  The motherboard, processor and heatsink are new.  No additional holes were made to the case for the cables to run.  I used what was available.  Still the same case, same amount of fans, component wise this is still equal.  So next time your doing a build keep the air flow in mind.

Now that I'm at home and have more time to type.
1 Why the mismatched RAM?
2 Was it an CPU upgrade or was the monster fan for overclocking?
3 Why a Biostar MB?
4 Why still have a missing screw on the slot plate below VC?

1) Ask the owner
2) It was to be a MB upgrade
3) BioStar MB was free with the purchase of certain processors
4) Its all filled in now

1-4 does the phrase 'cranial rectal inversion' mean anything to you?   :lol

That'd be my box and TD kindly consented to fix it for me after I fornicated it vertically.  TD put a heck of a lot more into fixing it than he requested in the form of $$ in return and I am extremely grateful for everything he has done and the educational information he has imparted to me during the process.

Gents, if you're thinking about taking it to the next level and like me don't have the time or the patience to learn how to DIY, shoot TD a PM.  He'll get you sorted in short order.

Do you even know what some of these words mean or do you just put "shocking" words together to try to sound cool?

That's nice; cable management in Antec cases can be a real challenge.  Here's a client rig I built recently in a P183 tower:
