IIRC The orange skins are allowed, at least on the N1K, because those training squadrons did come under combat somewhere by American fighters.

It's also possible that with newer standards that HTC will be a bit more selective in their skins now that these planes have been remodeled after... well for the first time ever.

Considering that only late in the war would training units be in danger of running into US aircraft, I don't think that applies to these zeroes at all. The A6M5b even first flew in early 1943 and was in service by autumn 1943. There were still almost 2 years of the war left.

At least now we can lose those dreadful A6M3 skins off the A6M5b model (which really really don't belong!) since they have their own plane in-game.

Lyric, suicide or kamikaze plane skins would not count either. Also, those are based in Japan itself. No allies were fighting land-based zekes over Japan in 1943.

Ink: really? Seriously?

And it's not black. One of those bad intrepretations from poor quality scale decals and/or profiles. It's dark brown, similar to some other planes (Ki-61 has some similar paint schemes).

I did my research on that one when I made the skin. The "black" claims are wrong.

Personally I don't care either way. How ever the text in the last photo says that surviving 21's were made in to Kamikaze aircraft in 1945. If no Kamikaze's are allowed fair enough :aok Just to play devils advocate though if any of them ran in to US naval aircraft then what?

Hello, this is busa01.

A6M2 (A6M2b Model 21) painted by orange do not exist.
The prototype and trainer orange (color code C1 orange yellow) are not used for A6 series.
It was enacted that IJNAF painted orange to a prototype at the beginning of 1943.
Therefore, the prototype of A6M1-M5 was gray green.
Incidentally the prototype of J2M1 was gray green, and the prototype of J2M2 was orange.
And Ka-101 were gray green.

A6M2-K painted by orange is not used for the combat.
A6M2-K painted in an orange/green was used for the kamikaze attack.

Since I am a Japanese, I do not want to use the skin of a kamikaze attack in a game, although it is a personal opinion.
