"Angel Flight"
« on: September 20, 2010, 09:04:56 PM »
I happened to hear this on the radio and googled it not really expecting to find all that much.

My nephew just came back from Afghanistan last month and one of the issues he's struggling with is the friends he lost over there.
Needless to say this hit a deep cord with me....

Not to me.  I expect a certain segment of people to be absolutely disconnected from reality.  Maybe its just that life is a difficult journey from stupid to smart and some people just never make the grade.  It has to be expected.

Whats important is the individual.  Don't look at the crowd.

Great clip there, thanks.

I've seen it before but it doesn't lose it's impact seeing it again.

There are those who understand the brotherhood and others who never will. As long as the ones who don't maintain a respectful silence it's no big deal.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

made me tear up too :salute :salute
I am assuming that the "angel flight" refers to them carrying an angel on board??  I have seen this in person once when I was younger.  I grew up right across the interstate from Ft. Carson military base.
