No icons is all about reality of the historical time period.  Setting the dar down low makes it like a modern day radar.  Obviously, unrealistic in WWII. Yeah, no icons makes it much tougher and requires each of us to be on constant lockout.  That's why in real air combat, there are always formations of 2 or multiples of 2.....mutual support.  If someone is cruising along, not checking their own six, and expecting someone out there somewhere to check it for them, there's disappointment coming soon.....and in multiples of two.  Well, at least if Jappa and I around.  :D.   :salute

after about 10 deaths to cons i never saw last night......i learned one thing. fly low. 1,000agl or less. you can easily see co=alt cons and those above you. once you've gotten the lay of the land, you can climb, and set up your attack...or in my case, my cartoon death.

I feel your pain Cap. Staying in the low altitudes does have an advantage in VID and can eliminate maneuvering room for that one trying to sneak up on you.  Although I seem to get a lot of nose bleeds way up there at a 1,000 feet.  :bolt:  check six!  :O

yea....it's kinda fun when you feel as if you're too high at 1k.

soulss had warned me about fighting the 109f's in my pee38. told me they'd have me for lunch if i tried turning with them at low speed.

i shoulda listened to him.  :rofl :noid

Quick question, I might of overlooked this, when we switch sides after a capture, are we switching plane sets too?

You know it's really fascinating to watch the evolving tactics that the no icons, weather, and such, are causing.

Town killing??? Thought this was for fighting.

Will it be more like the MAs just without icons?    :(

I can understand why some wouldn't want to participate in any territory capture but why would just having it going on be a turnoff?

Should still be plenty of air to air opportunities.

Air to air guys could have a lot of action interdicting air raids.

shuffler's a great guy.....he's good to fly with and against.

in fact, the only bad thing i can find about him so far, is that he bought his daughter a chevy, rather than a real car.  :neener: :noid

I like Shuff, he is an ok feller.  He just enjoys a way too narrow slice of the Aces High pie.  I'm cool with that. :aok
