Under Mongomery's command, Allied forces begin the final battle to push the remaining German and Italian units out of Tunisia. It's now May 6th, 1943 and as Allied Commander, Mongomery's cautious approach has fustrated Eisenhower. He does however appreciate Monty's careful focus on ensuring that all forces are properly supplied prior to engaging in any large scale battle - hence the slow pace to push Axis forces out of North Tunisia. With new M4A1 tanks and the 9th Air Force at his command, the American forces are eager to engage and learn against experienced German forces who are slowly pulling back into Italy. With several squadrons of Spitfire V's from the RCAF on loan from Monty, Eisenhower has given American Lt. General Bradly ample firepower assets to stop the slow burn and put a swift end to the German forces.
