Hi Joedirt. Where you get the updated drivers depends on what the device is, and who is the manufacturer. Lets say you need to update the drivers for a Philips sound card. You would go to the Philips website, and look for support>drivers. Then choose the driver that is specifically for your model sound card. If it is newer than the one you've got, there is your update. You download it, and usually, in Win 98, all you have to do is doubleclick on the compressed driver and it will extract to a folder of your choice. Then click on "Setup" and from there it will take care of the installation automatically. Some times you are required to completely remove the old driver before installation. Also, VIDEO card driver updates need to be installed a bit differently, so read the README before trying to install them. Monitor drivers, printer drivers, scanner drivers, etc, can all be downloaded from the manufacturer and installed this way. You should be careful however, because sometimes new drivers can cause you trouble. Any questions?
