rescue plane perked
« on: October 31, 2010, 04:53:09 AM »
We need a squad only rescue plane not a new bomber or fighter :old:

It would have to be perked and you would have to be liked by your squad mates for them to use their perks, Yarbles would never be rescued

To add that we would have to make a lot of changes to the game if we just add it and leave things the way they are right now no one would ever use it. What would you rather do end sorti or wait so someone can pick you up so you can end sorti?
It would be interesting, but I just don't see it happening in the near future.

Stopping enemy killing downed squad mate and rescuing him would be fun, jeeps should be able to rescue squad mates.

If you got no score unless you rtb would make crying for rescue obligatory for the score potatos, and would add another thing to do for us "toolshedders".

All in all rescueing a downed comrade not a bad feature to think of adding.

(Very sad pic of the PBY, any story?)

If I were to guess it looks like it may have been docked and strafed by a fighter, then sank and looks as if they pulled it up from the bottom. I'm only guessing from what I see.

PBY Catalinas would be next to useless aside from certain senarios. If losing a cartoon life in the MAs meant something, this plane would be a neat addition.

With that said, it regrets me to inform you all that Yarbles will remain unrescued for some time. :devil

I think the closest thing to a rescue plane that might show up in this game, is an air recon plane. That searches for carriers and other such things.

If there were rescue vehicles then no one in the 80th would have time to fly as we would constantly be rescueing eachother.

We have the most grounded flight crews along with the largest selection of "slightly used" 38 parts in the industry.

My routine for this would be this: wait until the rescue occurred and then kill both rescued and rescuer together.

well i have no real interest in being rescued as i never get enough kills on a sortie to make it worth the time of someone coming to get me. but on the other hand if, on the rare occasion, that Grizz or Tec or one of the other Muppet's gets shot down, i could fly out to them in one of these pick them up and then upon safely landing them at the base they would be credited their kills, well that would be cool.

oh and as a side note, we in the enemy camps don't want Yarbles either! we refuse to capture him!!!! so if one of you wouldn't mind terribly, would you please come get him? he is molesting ALL our sheep!!!!!!!!

He was accused of feltling sheep but the case was thrown because it occurred in Yorkshire where it is not illegal :old:

I'd be all for a rescue plane for the only reason to hear players whine after you shoot them while they try to rescue someone.  Then the whole debate on the forums or on Channel 200 about whether not one side regularly did it (yes, all sides did it) would also be priceless.
