My guide doesn't address anything about display drivers themselves, only display settings (not that I don't recommend taking a gander at it, but still).

While I understand that the 'newest' drivers aren't always best for older video cards, I had to give him something to start with.  Groundfeeder and Lyric sure weren't.

Besides, it made this a more popular thread so Ping is now at least getting some help!

Generally speaking, the best video card drivers, for your video card, will be the ones that ship less than one year after the card is released to the public.

That is due to the video card companies focusing on updates and fixes on next generation video cards, which usually does not help anything older.

I've got things working reasonably well now at this moment. Fps is in the 20's and 30's.

Figuring on upgrading entire system in a couple of months.

Just a matter of perspective & experience my friend. From my perspective & experience move on from BFG as soon as possible in regards to video cards.
