You should try taking a 39 out. They can be great fun. I disagree that it's a hanger queen anymore then the 25 is.
Depends on the definition of hangarqueen. Sure, A p-39 can be great fun for some individuals (like for me it were planes like the Hurricane I or I-16), "hangar queen" usually denotes planes that are -in total- rarely used in an arena.
The B-25H is by no means a HQ on LW. The 25C and the P-39Q are getting quite close to it, the 39D is quite nonexistant in LW (Which itself is for someplayers even more of a reason to fly it. Killing Spit's & N1k's in a HQ can be very satisfying, particularly when getting the "No way a XXX can catch/outturn a YYY" whines
)'s
Data: Plane Usage 2009 (see sig line)
B-25H 1.31% Usage Rank 27
B-25C 0.34% Usage Rank 58
P-39Q 0.32% Usage Rank 59
P-39D 0.17% Usage Rank 68
P-39 is quite some interesting case. It got 50% of the votes, but actually about no one is flying them. And I'm convinced those voting for it were not all just players thinking of the SEA needs. It was simply some kind of name recognition, they found it a cool plane without knowing much more about it (and about nothing about the other planes on the list). Then they tried it, it sucked (for them!) and that was it.
