X45 Rebate at CompUSA
« on: December 09, 2001, 10:11:00 AM »
There is a $30 rebate on the $79.95 cost of the X45 combo in Sunday's paper today.

At $49.95, the X45 is a steal...

I heard the X45 has the rudder controls on the throttle.  Is this true?

The X45 does have rudder controls on the handle of the throttle.  For me, I just prefer using my old CH analog rudders with the X45.

yep, it has a rocker type rudder which your fingers reach around and press. works ok but not as well as separate peds. CH Pro Peds USB are a nice addition.

i checked it out at best buy. it's a looks like a nice stick but if you are a larger guy like me(6'2") check it out in person b4 you order one, you'll probly find the stick to small for your hand. the loop around the front of the handle doesn't alow all four of my fingers to hold the stick.
it's common problem with sticks though, probly why i'm still using this old x-fighter, it's the only stick i've found with an adult sized grip

hehe Eagler, or just do what i did and remove that pinky thing, it does come off quite easily.

BTW the X45 imho is a good setup, (my first HOTAS), I was using a MSFF2, the X45 may not have FF but who cares, this thing is a real dream. Now if I can just get my hands on some Peds.     ;)
