After reading almost all the posts here and to address the win the war concern that I read somewhere around page 2, i suggest that on TT the single one from the off peak time just be left up and on Wed. The normal routine would resume using the map from before with nothing changed from when it was moved to make way for the off peak map.

This would allow the wtw types to have their way again and till allow for a variety of maps to be played at the same time.

Sounds almost like a win/win to me as long as this does not lead to the massive nearly unstoppable hordes flooding from one base to another. Of course maybe this will help to stop this since people won't be pressed to win it as fast as possible due to short time frames.

All in all I like the idea even though it will mean a arena change for me about half way into my play time, then again it will also give me a little reminder that is late and should be getting to bed.

Well I'm in the US of A (east coast player) but I play on west coast primetime. So yes Dedolas, if I'm reading correctly? It's Hitech typing, afterall. I'm effected by the change give or take the time I get auto booted. I'd rather get booted earlier playing the cap game and have a few good hours in the non capped arena. Instead of getting started(finding a fight, or caps game) playing then the boot sorry Jimson.

I'm glad you're tying to apease the Euro players though. /sarcasm  but they already get Saturday Scenarios I kid ,Ikid.

Maybe I have my time zone line ups mixed up but I don't understand.

If the auto boot happened at 5pm cst and again at 1am cst and you play west coast primetime, that would be from 3pm to 11pm pst that you wouldn't be subject to it. Of course you would be spending your time in the capped arena system as you are now. So I guess the fact that there is no change to that, is what US folks aren't crazy about.

since both arenas will fill up more evenly with the new cap system (instead of 150+ people already sitting in orange when caps kick in), there should be no reason to whine. i.e. it wont be 210/100 and 10/150 anymore.

A is open, around 3:00 pm central it closes and ejects all occupants and it's current state is saved (I.E. field ownership stays the same, all destroyed objects remain destroyed). (there will be plenty of warning given before the eject and it will be the same time every day)

Then B&C open in the same state they had been closed the day before.

Some time around 12:00 midnight central B&C will close and eject everyone and A will open.

If you wish to know the pros and cons of the new system please read the linked thread

HiTech

OK Jimson, what I'm reading arena closes 1am (EST) =10pm (PST). I 'm fine with this but you stated move it to 1am(CST)=2am(EST) which I don't like and stated my opinion. I would rather keep the way Hitech proposed.  Would also like auto time  I don't trust Skuzzy he's in bed anyway! :D

Intresting, just dont want to lose perks. Can the the time be around 30 mins before closer or something. The 10 to 12 mins warning usually doesnt help me. Im EST BTW. so Im usually in Blue with my squad with ENY.

Whatever ENY stands for :headscratch:

anyway my dime, you keep doing your thing HTC.
  :airplane:
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

I think that Snailman should post his paypal account info and all the arena cap whiners should send him a nickle.  Haha,  how much you think that'd come up too.

Actually.  I am totally impressed by this.  Arena caps somewhat affected me but it clearly was an issue with a lot of people.  I almost jumped out of my seat and cheered when Hitech said he decided to implement Lusche's idea.  That is effing awesome,  wtg snailman <S>

I would recommend to wait for the results before you start to praise anyone ;)
We have to see how it all works out, if things really improve for more people, or if the daily shutdown will  create an outrage. There may be even bugs in the concept nobody has thought of.

And most important - it's not getting rid of the cap itself. It will still be there. Most "whines" in this forum had been about "can't join my buddies in LWO". At peak time with two arenas, the problem will still be there.
The main difference is the radical reduction of transition time after caps kick in and the possible ability for better fine tuning by being able to adjust the switchover point in time.

Hey Lusche, you do realize there is a reprint fee for each time that picture is used and seeing how often you may be posting on this new cap system that could really run into some money.

Just a friendly warning   :devil
