X-52 loose cable problem
« on: December 13, 2010, 04:49:12 AM »
Anyone else seen this prob before?  The cable that runs from the stick to the throttle is loose where it plugs in to the back of the stick.  If you wiggle the plug the lights on the stick blink and it loses calibration.

Any suggestions on how to fix this other than "dont wiggle the cord"?

This plug is round , take some pliers and squeeze it gently to slight oval :old:
This will make it a tight fit :old:

I ordered another one, shipping($4.00) was more than the cable ($0.90).  went to cable wholesale.com 10M2-01103        MiniDin6 (PS/2) Male / MiniDin6 (PS/2 ) Male, 6C, Straight, 3 ft

This.  It worked perfectly for me, and you don't need to squeeze it that much, just a little bit.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Two magnets left and right of hall sensor, putting magnets directly under sensor reduces masive amount of deadzone and nose bounce, use double sided tape to position magnets :old:
Guy on youtube shows how to so it using blutak, its 20 min mod a lot of people do it.

I'm doing the magnet mod right now.  I've officially gotten sick of the corporate bull from Logitech, and will be boxing my G940 back up and going back to my X52.  If/when they decide to fix the issues then maybe I'll change my mind.  If the magnet mod does what it's supposed to, then I might end up being more than happy with the X52 in the long run anyhow...

It works well.  I used superglue instead of double sided tape though.  I did test it with tape before going to the glue to make sure the magnets' polarity was correct first though.  If you install them backwards it will reverse the axis.
