Thanks HTC
« on: December 15, 2010, 07:53:39 PM »
Hey i just wanted to say thanks to HTC for the latest patch. I was one who didn't care for the new town setup but played anyways but now that it is changed i for one want to say what a great job you did with the last patch and thank you. Even if you change the town capture to be a bit harder or easier at least your trying to improve it. Comming from a flight Sim that didn't care at all for its players or there OP i just wanted to say thanks for the latest patch i enjoy the game again like i did before. Lota fun now attacking bases.

 :aok

I've been playing since week 1 (off and on with the military snatching me up) and I was a little upset with the new town because I got tired of searching for the lone building, but with this patch it REALLY brightined my day. I went from playing about 2 hours a day to around 9 (when time allows)  :)

lol yeaaahhh...the only thing I'm good in is a bomber, but I think it's because I'm too lazy to learn how to be a good fighter pilot :P  :joystick:

With that flag they could easily increase the town down requirement back to 100% and I doubt any would complain. As the white flag is a dead give away

I think 80% is a more realistic figure.

That would require a few more bombs and not just carpet bombing the main clumps.

I mean 2x heavy 38's would do it or 1 set of b26's as it is now!

However it has highlighted to me that base capture is important to keep things moving and for guys who like to think tactically and strategically you can try some deeper more riskier takes and have a chance of pulling it off.

Yeah 80% is good or even be allowed to take the base if all town buildings in the central area and all ack ack was down take the base if you can get troops in the town centre either by land sea or air :)

Now even Lusche is on this 80% kick

Why can't you let things ride?  Folks are ripping it up in the game!  So what if country A captures country B's flag / town easier than before.

YOU ALL ARE MISSING THE POINT OF THE CHANGE!!!

For some time now, the odds have been in favor of single handed tactics in preventing base captures.

Example number one:  Port exploit, one guy keeps resupplying port with lvt and ack pops up every 2 minutes or some other ridiculous time.

Example number two:  Pilot gets shot down or bails over his town and walks to the maproom and hides to shoot troops entering maproom.

Example number three:  Shore Battery operator trains his guns on the maproom and shells his own maproom as well as anything close by.

Example number four:  Base is shut down (all hangars dead), all enemy opposition from the field killed, troops are running to the maproom.....  (screaming high pitch sound)  enemy fighter zooms from the clouds directly to the maproom and pop there goes 1 trooper (for the sensor's sake I will say he was just injured and now can no longer find his way to the maproom).

Enough examples?  How many failed base attempts have you guys put together, that leads you to the conclusion that it I will be MORE willing to play a game designed for large squads, than for individual players?

Plus isn't that what we had already??? I don't believe that dog will hunt.

Chilli i get it if bases are made easier to take then they harder to defend. And if you doont have the proper attack tactics then its hard to take a base :)

Hey i just wanted to say thanks to HTC for the latest patch. < SNIP> Lota fun now attacking bases.

I couldn't agree more and the fact that I'm seeing more folks interested in what I
call "coordinated attacks" attests to the fact that it isn't just you and I drawing an
increase in enthusiasm for AH. Flags..just simple old flags...who would have ever
thought such a simple addition would make such a big difference. Brilliant.
Kudos to HTC on this one! <S>
