T-34 Drivers View bug
« on: December 16, 2010, 12:53:05 PM »
I've notived that on the T-34 I can push my view forward through the forward bulkhead and get an unobstructed view out the front of the tank. This tank has no bulkhead hatch (like Panther, tiger) and this view should not be possible.  I use a track IR. Not sure if the same applies for setting snap views in F10 mode.

Thanks,

The drivers hatch on the t34 also had the drivers view port on it. If you look around you will find pictures of the t34 with that particular hatch open. It is on the frontal slope of the hull armor.

Hmm. I may looked on the tank and didn't see the hatch. I will look in Game again and check online for the feature you describe.  :salute

You are correct. In game the hatch is modelled closed, but it can clearly be opened. Thanks.  :salute

You can do this on all tanks.  It's a feature.

I've put off fixing this for so long that if I fix it now it makes me look bad so we'll pretend it's a 'feature'

hehe.. but really it's a nice one because in real life they could stick their heads out and look around...

Roger Superfly. I didn't put that together at first because in the German tanks you move your head up to get a clear view, and I never noticed that was possible. On the T-34 you cant go up but you can go forward and because you move through so much bulkhead it seemed like an glitch. Makes perfect sense now.

Thanks for the explanation.  :salute

Actually on the Panther you have to drive with your head out as they did away with the driver's periscope. :salute
