Dodecenese Frame Three Axis Awards
« on: December 18, 2010, 09:35:40 AM »
TO: ALL AXIS SQUADRONS IN DODECENESE THEATRE

FROM: LUFTWAFFE HIGH COMMAND

RE: AWARD PRESENTATION

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On behalf of the CiC for Frame Three... I present the following:

For actions in December 2010, FSO Frame 3, all Axis Squads are awarded the "Devil’s Cross" for their display of uncommon valor and bravery.  All squads were receptive to orders from CiC (Cerberus) and carried out their orders without question and complaint.  During December 2010, FSO Frame 3, many squads found themselves defending or attacking during the first hour of battle.  The initial attack on A19 and the Allied CV was successful.  An opportunity presented itself in that we had only 2 bases for a potential second attack defensively and 2 that we could successfully attack.  During the second hour, those planes that were able, took off and went on the offensive creating the environment for success.  As a result, the secondary attack was a success on A141 and A117 providing success on all attacked bases.  The Allies only attacked one of our bases a second time with some success.  Additionally, Axis squads established a secondary CAP in strategic locations to allow returning attackers to RTB (return to base) safely.

As a result of this uncommon valor, I present all Axis Forces (listed below) authorization to proudly wear the Devil’s Cross Medal and post on their websites for display, and the ribbon for use in their signatures on these fourms.

Sir, if I may please.

I was in the arena quite early for the last frame (grabbin a bite to eat while waiting for my squaddies) and I had
the opportunity to observe you and your activities immediately preceding this event.  I was very impressed with you frankly sir.
You were organized and helpful without being condescending.  Your briefing for squad leaders was precise and informative and
showed your willingness to be flexibile allowing for changes on the run if your original plan needed tweaking "on the fly".

Well done, I'm sure your squad is proud to hail you as their mate.

 :salute Sir!

<S> to all Axis Squadron participants in all three frames! I had a blast in this one even though I honestly hate flying the 109.

Thanks Zoney... but Cerberus (one of my squaddies) was CIC.  I just posted this for him due to the artwork involved and such.  But I shall pass your sentiments on to him.  <S>!!!
