Helldiver was a deathtrap, design flaws, as I remember reading

ive heard about the flaws, the dive flaps would jam or something, and it would be hard to pull out of a dive, basically it was a divebomber who couldnt dive.

didnt they find two crashed helldivers in the states last year? i remember reading about it but cant remember the state. (maybe pennsylvania)

Honestly, I'd rather have Japan's Aichi B7A2:

Empty Weight: 8,400lbs
Maximum Weight: 14,330lbs
Maximum Speed: 352mph
Rate of Climb: 1,990ft/min
Range: 1,900 miles
Armament: Two 20mm Type 99 Model 2 cannons in the wings and one 7.92mm Type 1 or 13mm Type 2 machine gun in the rear cockpit
Ordnance: 800kg of bombs or one 800kg torpedo.
Petals floating by,
      Drift through my woman's hand,
             As she remembers me-
