Pretty funny...

Fox News had a story on their web site touting the Bears vs Green Bay game as "being the oldest rivalry in football".   Say what?

I put a comment after the story that they needed to check their facts better because the oldest rivalry in football is the Bears vs New York Giants.  It was an evil, bitter, angry, rivalry long before the closer proximity of the Packers rivalry ever started.

I went back a couple of hours later to see if anyone else commented....

The entire story was gone from their web site.   :lol

hey tardling, bears first met giants in 1925, packers in 1921.

look stuff up before you think you are smart.

Yeah that interception changed the course of the game big time. I think that QB did lot better than Cutler did. I read couple of articles saying that Cutler being injured is why the Bears lost. I think it was quite the opposite (I was going for the Bears to win) because the last two scores the Bears did was from that 3rd stringer.  I have to wonder if he was put in the game earlier, the outcome might have been different.

As of right now, I think it'll be Packers and Steelers (considering the score is currently 24-3) in the big one. I am rooting for the Steelers if that is the case.
I'll bet that third string quarterback is looked at alot closer over the off season. The second string QB may be looking for a new home.

Hopefully you didn't lose to much.  :P
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Great Bears/Packers game.

I didn't watch the Stealers game, but I heard the Rapist had a good first half.

did anyone else notice that Mendenhall dog-humped Rothlisberger on one of the last plays of the game?  Big Ben kneeled down, and Rashaard tackled him and proceeded to hump him, mid-field, on national television.   then i saw Ben crying after the game.    :huh

I can't stand Lovie Smith.

9 times out of 10 I'll praise Jay Cutler.

What happened yesterday was a perfect storm of buffoonery. While the Pack did play well (salute..... I guess), letting the starting QB take the bench in a championship game is inexcusable.

With all the chips on the table, that QB should have rose to the occasion and shown some leadership. He's getting tests done on his "injured" knee today or tomorrow. There had better be some serious damage or he's gonna hang for quitting on his team.

Oh well, baseball season is right around the corner.......

What is certain is that the Broncos got the better deal in the QB trade between the Bears and Broncos....
Cutler is nothing but a big hairy cat. :)
