Comcast=Worst internet provider on earth

DO NOT ever get Comcast.  Since we have gotten comcast about 3 years ago we replaced our internet modem FIVE TIMES.  They then persisted to say our constant DC problems was caused by our router. Well, we went and bought a brand spanking new Netgear today, 70 bucks.  Guess what, one hour after we had it set up, we get DCed 3 times within 15 min.......I am so sick of them, they are sending an "expert technician" out on saturday between 8 and 10, and I swear if the guy says ONE TIME its the router, I am gonna go Ape  :furious on him.

You may want to...Been DCing every 5-10 minutes since 6, and internet went down at 4pm.  Went on and off all day yesterday to.

It depends on the area I guess, where I live Comcast is great and service is top notch. The only time our internet goes down is when the power goes out (duh) and sometimes during violent thunderstorms in the summer, but those are rare. Of course our cable system used to be Adelphia Cable before they went bankrupt and were assimilated by the borg..err I mean Comcast.

There are several things that an affect a cable connection?

Are all the connections good?
You may be in a heavy usage area that needs a boster installed on thier line.
How far from the main line tap are you?

Verizon here, and never a hiccup.......Not sure if its available in your area Red, but might be worth checking into

Bob where are ya from?  In my neck of the woods comcast is certainly no angel, but I really can't complain about the 1.5 years of service to date.

HAd Verizon from the day I got DSL and rarely had a disco problem. THEN....Frontier bought all of Verizon's lines here in WV.  I disco more than  John Travolta in Staying Alive now.

Comcast says we have a great connection, and the line tap is in the wall in our garage.....

comcast~is by and far a pefect example of whats wrong with America, they say so much, yet they provide crap.....they say they have 22 millon customers think about that 22 million people paying anywhere from 100$ to 150$ a month, not encluding the payper views, sports, and movies, that you have to pay extra for, anyone good at math? 22 million times 150......well I suk at math but I know thats an obsurd number, I absolutly hate comcast, and every company just like them, sad to say people are beguiled by them and think ist proper. Makes me ill thinking about how crooked this country has become, and what constitutes 'good business'

We had Roadrunner in our area.... in all the hoopla awhile back comcast now services our area.

Roadrunner was by far the better of the two.
