most fun firearm you've ever shot?

i wanted to break this away from the airsoft thread before it even started, so here ya are.

personally, i'm a softie for the classics, and at least 3 times a month you will see me at the local range burning through ammo in the .50 cal M2 (they have it for Army training, us ROTC guys love it). 50 cents a round/$90 for a box of 200.

it feels just superb when i'm firing it, and the sound is just something to behold. the concrete walls and aluminium drums never know what hit them

the most fun rifle i've ever shot has got to be the Garand.

so, what about you guys?

M1 & AK47, 12 gauge slugs are really nice as well.

Also love shooting clay pigeons, stationary targets get boring.

I haven't shot much, maybe only six or seven rifles, but my favorites have to be my brother's 19fourtyorfiftysomething Polish Mosin
Nagant, and his PSL-54c.

I do love everything I've been able to fire though!

thompson at the twin city gun % rod range, you can burn thru 2 clips for 40$ and fire the garand for 10$ per clip.

where do you hunt elk? i go to Montana every year w/ my uncle, been using a .308 ever since i joined ROTC. fun fun fun hobby

AK-47, hands down. Once hit a squirrel with it, first shot of the day at my uncles house (about 7-8 acres), couldn't stop laughing.

if it's anything like hitting a chipmunk with a .260 Rem, i can only imagine that site!

I'd have to give it to the .22, rifle or handgun doesn't matter.  I know it's not very high on the "cool" factor, but the simple fact is that it's the only round that the average joe can afford to shoot all day long.

The bigger calibers are to me like serious tools, used for hunting, military or competition.  The .22 is more like a fun toy, no real serious purpose behind it, just fun.

A close second would be a 12ga shotgun.  Just because I love shooting skeet, trap, or sporting clays.  Sporting clays is a lot of fun I think.

Blasting jackrabbits or prairie dogs with a 22/250 is lots of fun to.
