awhile back i did testing in the MA with .target, to see the max range each AA gun would keep punching holes in the paper. this was at sea level base:

field gun = 4725 yd
ostwind = 2767 yd
wirb = 1719 yd

now that is also a pretty horizontal shot, so I'm not sure how the range might differ the more vertical you get, but when I get 4.5k hits on bombers overhead it's pretty much just walking the end of the tracer stream onto the formation. 4.5k icon ~ 4725yds, so it seems about right.

hell yea!  :aok

not only handy for ack shootin, but also for stuff without a reflector gunsight (il2, d3a, etc), and stuff like the 30cal and 50cal mg's on vehicles. its the same idea as the mouse pointer, but it's permanent (until you clean your screen, then have to draw it on again)

If I could figure out how to make film viewer work for the manned ack I can beat all those ranges hands down.

Constantly :aok Every time I try I review film when I am in a soft gun & I am just looking at the green grass of some part of a map no where near anything recognisable?
