Can we have small arms fire ambient sound as long as there is a ack gun within 1.5 miles from your current position?
Somewhere in the code there must be something that cues my game sound to play a warning siren when enemies are in proximity (this is my guess). I am asking that such code be added, with whatever modifications to limit the fps hits (maybe play the sound once every 15 secs for the closest gun). If fps is not an issue, then hearing multiple small arms and from multiple locations (miles sound system) would help immerse the player in a sense of danger when entering a village in a ground vehicle.
I would hope that this sound would give a stop playing cue when it is destroyed. With this new small arms fire sound that plays whether or not the ack is firing, attackers on an unfriendly base are warned of AI combatants laying in wait to silently
ambush troops.
