bail out on ground and re enter
« on: January 22, 2011, 01:03:38 PM »
i would like to be able to bail out of a gv or plane on the ground and then be able to get back in it...and only charged as a bail if the vehicle is destroyed before re enter..this will not have any change on air bail outs.

I understand what you mean, but why would someone need to do this? Other than to make movies I see no use to it.

I see no point.

Why not?  As far as I know, in real life planes don't self-destruct when you leave them.

This would open the way to far more game mechanics.  Like landing somewhere, picking up a downed pilot in your fighter, flying back to base with both of you in the cockpit, and getting a few extra perkies.  And that's just for starters, who knows what you could come up with if you thought about it for more than 30 seconds  :airplane:
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

I have never heard of a fighter landing a field and picking someone up. Especially if it's single seat.

And are you that desperate for perks that you would sit and wait for someone to pick you up than just end sorti?

I heard of it happening in france with a P-47 pilot. He got shot up over germany and his wing man picked him up after he ditched. I think. Will look for the story on line.

and there was an australian pilot who did it too, in a p40. And like I said: why not? This could only add to gameplay, it won't take anything away from it.

May I make an observation? You seem to have this negative thing about other peoples wishes? If he wants to wish for nekkid women in his cockpit, he should be allowed to. I'm wondering who the real troll is here. (ut..oh...maybe it's me!  :headscratch:
