I have never heard of a fighter landing a field and picking someone up. Especially if it's single seat.

And are you that desperate for perks that you would sit and wait for someone to pick you up than just end sorti?

Bernie Fisher did it in Vietnam with a skyraider...and won the MoH doing it too.

This could only add to gameplay, it won't take anything away from it.

No, this absolutely doesn't add anything to the game play and would be nothing but a waste of resources to code it.

May I make an observation? You seem to have this negative thing about other peoples wishes? If he wants to wish for nekkid women in his cockpit, he should be allowed to. I'm wondering who the real troll is here. (ut..oh...maybe it's me!  :headscratch:

he is just mad because someone made a wish that sucked more then his wish

Like i said only if they add the PBY-4 Catalina and the ability to land and take off on water with a flying boat. then i see this as a useful idea. and maybe give the pilot of the rescue catalina some nice perkies too

if you look at historical squadron data....mainly from luftwaffe, yes it happened all the time, you can actually sqeeze 3 into a bf109,check eric hartman and hans rudel bios to start.

Do go back and look at that again please.  No three in the cockpit.  It did not happen all the time.  It happened in desperation to avoid the ground crews being left to the Russians.  They managed to squeeze a couple into the fuselage through the hatch near the tail.  This was not a drop in and land, go again thing.

No fair, his was a multiseat Skyraider :)

How bout George Green of the 4th dropping in and picking up Pierce McKennon in his 51.  Bert Marshall did that with one of his guys in the 355th and there was a 38 driver who got a second pilot in too to get him out.  Back at base they were unable to duplicate the feat.  The adrenilin must have really been cooking to do it the first time.

All that being said, this seems like something that really isn't needed in game.  If your pilot has to go that bad, have em use the cartoon relief tube.  No need to get out at a  rest stop.

Incorrect, the ground crews were inside of Radio Compartment of the 109, to prevent them from being captured.    It most certainly did NOT happen "all of the time" like you described.

well i have documented at least 297 luftwaffe instances where more than 1 person was squeezed in to a single seat fighter....mostly in the last year of war......thats a pretty big number just for one country that supposedly didnt happen......and so what if they are not in a seat...geee, dont see anything in any of my post about a seat. i think what you are doing is adding in your own ideas of what you think i mean instead of just reading.

LOL and of those 297 instances, how many were where the pilot took off on a combat flight.  Landed away from base.  Got out and found two people and shoved them into the fuselage of his 109?

Might want to be a bit more clear on what you are asking.

What you really want it appears is the ability to get out of your plane with a screw driver, open a hatch or two, shove I don't know who or what into it, and fly away again.

What possible use would that have in game?
