About 6 months ago I had an Ar234 approach and manuever to zoom by me. I got all excited thinking I stumbled on some noob flying slow n stupid and I'm about to kill him. Next thing I know I've got oil on my screen, half a wing, weapon damage and crap in my pants. I landed but I was the one feeling like a noob. It was probably you. Ok, just kidding about the crap but it was shocking.
That sounds like one of my MO's. When I let go of my final bomb I go looking for trouble to get into and usually find it, sometimes more trouble than I bargained for.
When I flew 24's mostly, and if there was an nme Bomber Formation nearby, I would take after it sometimes getting the whole formation. Once flying through a large Enemy Bomber Mission I had two kills, smoked several engines and hit many fuel tanks. Luckily, since I was going in the opposite direction, the escort planes apparently didn't have time to react, nor the option to chase me, so I survived.
