So given that Drspeks film issue was proven to be down to a bug with the game rather than ineptness on his part, I take it he will be taking his rightful title?

While the delay could last as long as 30 seconds, it wouldn't crash the game or prevent anyone from filming.  All one had to do to fix it was empty out the film folder and empty the screenshots from the AH root directory.  This problem had existed for years and the work around has been widely posted in the forums for years and years.

it would also explain why some fights saved and others didn't.

This wouldn't have prevented films from not being recorded, unless the user terminated the program thinking it was unresponsive.

Yep ack ack is right. Been that way for a long time. Solution is just to backup your files to another folder.

Does it matter?, on a serious note the guy was called pretty much a liar for a problem that lay with the game and not himself. The fix described fits the problem Spek was having, it would also explain why some fights saved and others didn't. 

I didn't get that from the readme.  It didn't fix a bug that was causing films to "vanish into thin air".

What would happen if there was simply no more space to save them on a smaller hard drive 30GB like Spek's? would it delete an old film to make space?

Although I don't understand the last part of this sentance he was simply called on a technicality and the final bracket reflects that.  I made the best unbiased ruling that I could under difficult circumstances and gave him the option to refight the duels which he declined to do.

He would have gotten quite a few Windows low disk storage errors to let him know he had to free up some free space long before he needed to film the fight.
