I gave it the week I said I would. It's really too bad that we conclude our second full year of tournaments in this fashion. I left it up to the finalists to rematch and they evidently decided not to so my prior ruling will stand.
As always I want to thank everyone who participated and give a special thanks to the review committee without who's help and input I'd have stopped doing these long ago.
As mentioned earlier in this thread I've decided that as long as we keep coming close to filling the 64 man roster I'll keep this event going tri-annually, therefore, sign-ups for the next tournament will begin around mid-May for a tournament start date around the first of June. I hope that the drama at the end of this event doesn't discourage anyone in the future. There will be some tightning of the rules prior to the next event.
