The Eagles do not fall into the category of "super group".  The group is not comprised of formerly famous people, with the exception of Joe Walsh.  One hot-shot hired-gun guitarist does not a super group make.

Does Rage Against the Machine firing their "singer" and hiring Chris Cornell constitute Audioslave as a super group?

As much as I enjoy some of the other bands listed here I'm gonna throw in "Hell Yeah" just to be different.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

They had a classic bit they'd do onstage--Tommy Shaw would play the hideous opening notes to  Styx's "Babe", and Ted would run across the stage, grab the guitar out of Tommy's hands, and smash it to pieces. That pathetic she-male (Dennis Deyoung?) and his pushy fat wife complained to NOOoo end, and they quit doing it :(

You forgot Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young all stars in their own right previously.  Steven Stills with Buffalo Springfield and Neil Young with everybody.

Stepehen Stills was also a single performer as well as David Crosby before forming Crosby, Stills and Nash. Their first live performance was at Woodstock.

Young wasn't dropped....he was added.  They started as Crosby, Stills, and Nash originally.

Man I used to love some Mr. Bungle.  Not a supergroup by any means, but a pretty badass band.  Thans for posting that Tomahawk Phatzo!

I was referring to Golfer's omission of the 'Y' in his original CSN post.  :lol

Apparently, Golfer doesn't care much for Neil.
