Clip board
« on: February 10, 2011, 08:16:31 PM »
I would like to be able to use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in or zoom out on the map.  Also why does the clip board get excruciatingly bright when flying into the sun,  I would think that would not happen due to it being a solid object.

+1 on mouse wheel.

Or, you can assign one button to Zoom In Map and a second button to Zoom Out Map.

This gives me an idea of what to do with the mini-joystick on my CH Throttle....

I would love to see this happen. I already catch myself doing it without even thinking about it.

I do the same thing which was really annoying when I had "fire all" mapped to pushing the scroll wheel too.

What I meant to say was just the second part. You can map the function to a HOTAS button now.  No need for the mouse.

I don't know what came over me.

Agreed. Scrolling for zoom seems natural in today's world of online mapping resources.

That's about how my X-52 mini-stick is configured.  Up-Down to zoom map in and out. Back for brakes and forward for landing gear.

I've got it set up on my throttle the same way so its easy for me to zoom in/out on the map.  However, the way I look at it is that it may be more convenient for some to use the scroll wheel and it's a common UI feature in almost any other MMO game with a map feature.

I haven't played Warbirds in years but still find myself trying to scroll the zoom with my mousewheel.

I use it to change head positions.  Takes a little practice but it helps.

Ive got zoom in / zoom out set to the switch right on the front and can zoom it in and out with my index finger
