It is a shame, but quite frankly you can't post things on the internet for general consumption and not assume that you will get "ripped off". You are living in a dream world if you think diferently.

Yea.  From what i seen, he was doing this to have one big data base rather then having ppl trying to search for them for hours or days.  Also, he was not making any profit from it. 
It is a shame.  He had this so well organized to have the country, division, BG/BS, FG/FS, where and how long they where station at so on and so on.  He made sure that everything was as accurate to the "T".  The downside to complete his task was that he could not get anything on the British or Italy  .

The internet is an interesting thing when it comes to defining what is and isn't in the public domain.  I have my opinion but I'll keep it to my self other than to say if I create an image and post it on the internet I assume (hope) somebody will like it enough to re post elsewhere.  Especially anything I create for this game or these forums.

I wonder with half of the images that we post in the "custom sound and skin" area, if we may be breaking the copyright law?

Sounds to me like the last straw came from the Grumman corporate lawyers (probably the only group who didn't or couldn't be convinced to see the sense or goodwill in the collection)....  how flippin' weird, an unfortunate sign of the times we live in these days.
