Heya BrownBaron,

who is holding this competition? is it collegiate or grade school? ( just curious, looks more collegiate type to me )

anyhows..... I watched the video, and it could use some dubbing and some filtering..... it needs a floor & ceiling ( the sound...... to cut out the background noise )

also, The narrator repeats himself with the same line ( almost exact same wording ) ... look at time 2:50 thru 3:13 of the video and compare it to 5:57 thru 6:23 of the video........

if you are able to edit this, this might help gain your group some in the competition......

all in all pretty decent job ya'll did there  :)

Thankyou, sir.

The contest is actually a part of National History day, which as you might have guessed, is a national competition with divisions for those in gradeschool, however our project is in the senior division, which pits it against college as well as highschool student's projects.

The white noise was pretty bad at times, as the only monument in the area is situated direclty adjacent to a major freeway, but we have re-shot said scenes using a wireless lapelle mic, which cut down tremendously on the noise.

Yes, our main videe-editor-guy did throw 2 take sof the same scene in twice, and did not catch it until it was too late. Luckily the judges did not notice.   :o

When doing a documentary, be careful in taking sides.  Present the info, and keep the drama as minimized as possible.  Just the facts, ma'am.  ;)

Otherwise, job well done.   :aok

While it is generally a good idea to do so in a professional work, we felt that it would make the video more...impactive to support the Armenian side of the debate. This gave us access to somewhat more..distressing evidence and interviews. Plus 2 of the members in the group are Armenian. I do see where you are coming from, though, and I will try to make the documentary more fair and balanced.  :)

PS: I do NOT want the above statement to sound like we are pandering to peoples emotions. We have the utmost respect for every victim of genocide, and would never use their memory to get a grade.

EDIT: Thanks, all. Keep it coming!

When you are preaching to kids who do not know better, you could tell them the sun was blue, and with enough confidence they will believe it.

Same holds true for many adults too.

I'd give some examples. But they wouldnt be looked kindly upon by our webmasters LOL
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty
