ctrl-d should stay on just like ctrl-i does. theres no good reason it should reset between flights.. just a waste of a keystroke for no reason.



Exactly!  I figured having it the flight/prefs would make it easier to use for everyone, newbs and vets alike.

Would you feel it though?  Wouldn't the whole aircraft shudder when being hit?

As a person with private pilot experience, I believe that you would feel bullet strikes to any control surface.

Maybe bullet strikes, but you'd have to look to see that it's completely gone, correct?

if its aflap, you dont need to look-- just try deploying flaps. if you roll, ones gone. it its ailerons, try rolling. if it rolls faster one way than the other, one aileron is gone. idk about elevators, never tried. gear is easy-- red light. engine-- also easy, espcially in a multi-engine. rudder-- easiest. just lightly tap the rudder, and if theres no response, your rudders gone. tada!
