capture settings?

I'm seeing it's possible (not by me) to capture a vbase (probably airbase too) by one person.  I know that one or two blds in a town being destroyed = white flag...

seems the settinsg are too low/easy and running the risk of horking the arena...

I'm not against base taking per se, but it shouldn't be doable by one person, or even two.

So... the settings?

Hmmm, I thought the default was now 75% town down and I didn't mess with that, but it sounds like it is set way too low.

I'll have to take a look tonight after work, unless someone else can get to it before me.

As far as V-bases, all one has ever needed to do is take out all the field guns and get the troops in.

We haven't had any porking problems in some time but we can up the troop number required if it becomes a problem.

I noticed it while at A81 in a panzer.... hit like 2 -3 buildings and saw white flag show...

I'd personally make it at least 2-3 loads of troops (esp on a map with the Vbases in play) considering how unpopluated AvA can be and all it could take would be that 1 person (who may not know better) to mess things up. But that's just me.

when was the last time someone actually took a base? in the map we have now, they'd have to take alot of bases to do any damage. if it were twinrivers, then id be worried. just an observation on my part.

the SE vbases 89/92/93 have changed hands several times, and A81 was initially axis, right?

aside:  i was parked on a bridge in a panzer.... along comes a convoy and plows me right off, lol... ska-rew a tiger, i want a convoy truck!!

<edit>  and yeah, 3 bldgs killed = white flag @ town... just tested again (shoulda filmed, ah well)

ran another test tonight and the building count to get the white flag in town was 20 buildings for now and a few acks down then the white flag went

Actually we have very few bases enabled for the combatant sides, so a lot of base taking could be a problem.

Yeah, I had to explain to that fjames that while taking a base is okay now and then you can't "win the war" as it horks the arena and requires a manual reset...  I'd still like 20 troops instead of 10 just to prevent one guy from potentially messing it up... we know it happens when some newbies come in thinking its the same at the MA except no opposition....
