Interest in Ew planes+Tanks
« on: March 25, 2011, 02:31:54 AM »
Like the title says, how much of an interest is there for this sort of stuff in AH, there are some Ew scenarios I have been thinking of recently and I think it would be great to have the planes and tanks to use in them, here is what I can think of, I will list them By Scenario they could be used in

Battle of britan:
He-111
Wellington
(any other Big ones I missed?)
Battle of france:
Ms.406
Pz.III
Pz.II
D.520
Mb.152
He-111
Char B1 + B1 bis
The Continuation war:
I-15
G.50
North Africa:
Crusader III
C.200
S.M.79
M14/41
(Again, any big ones I missed?)
please add to my list guys, I am currious of how many others want EW stuff in this game too  :salute

Imow, you missed some Russian planes, since the red planeset is very limited.
Big one:  pe-8
Medium ones: tu-2, il-4
Small ones: mig-3, jaks, lagg3
They are rather mid-war tho, but the early period in the eastern front.
Anyway, +1 to fly some EW planes, not only the late war monsters.

I am not really sure on the Pe-8 as it was mostly a propaganda machine, but you caught me on the Tu2 and Il-4 :)

For EW, I'd also put some of the Japanese tanks.

Which one?  The only one that would have any chance of doing anything worth while in AH (other than scenarios) is the Type 97 "Shinhoto" Chi-Ha with the 47mm Type 1 cannon, and they wasnt put into production until early 1942.  Otherwise, the rest of the Japanese tanks would be very slow (18mph) with armor very similar to the M8 Greyhound, and have heavy MG or very small cannons for main guns.
