Wonder what was going on that day to have the most users on the BBS.
That was about 3 years ago.

I was gonna speculate that it was maybe the last time the game servers experienced a major interuption of service (crash) but the forum servers were unfortuantley up and ready to recieve the flash flood coming down Whine Creek.

It was due to everyone logging in and throwing a fit about the B29 and nooks not being released.

You see, HiTech promised us we would have it April 1, 2008 and when it didn't happen every one logged in on April 2nd to complain about it.

It took a while before we realized that it was just a cruel April Fool's joke.

I just noticed when I get on the BBs here, that there is a place at the bottom that says who is on or hidden and all.  Then it shows the most people on at one time.
Just struck my interest.

Before late March/Early April 2008 we had a different (in house I think?) BB system. Then HTC switched over to the current SMF software. For the next week or so after that there were a lot of people at least logged on to the forums at any given time, kind of like how there were a lot of people in the WWI arenas right after they were released.
You'll notice that posts made before that have weird formatting, quotes used to bolded and weird stuff like that, also links to other threads probably won't work (unless they did something about that, I don't remember).
I think the forums were down for like a week right before that as well, while they were installing the new software and getting everything transferred over, which would also contribute to why people were so eager to get on.

All of the Forum stats and what not start from that then as well, not from mid-1999 or whenever the original BBs were put up.
