This would be more of a measure of free-time you have to fly.  Even a 6 year old would get 600 proxies eventually.

I would like to add another rank, which I feel me and most of my squad could acquire fairly easy: Senior Aviation Wreckage Salvager. Would require 600 augers within a single tour to be qualified.

As it is rank and score need to be removed from this game now. Remember its all about the combat anyway

No to this idea. Rather silly, I think.

I think it would add a lot of immersion if there were some sort of long-term ranks to achieve, similar to other online shooter games.

Something like:

Airman- 0 kills
Airman First Class- 5 kills
Senior Airman- 15 kills
Staff Sergeant- 30 kills
Technical Sergeant- 50 kills
Master Sergeant- 75 kills
Senior Master Sergeant- 105 kills
Chief Master Sergeant- 140 kills
Second Lieutenant- 190 kills
First Lieutenant- 250 kills
Captain- 320 kills
Major- 400 kills
Lieutenant Colonel- 490 kills
Colonel- 600 kills

You could then display on the player tags. Thoughts?

Thank God this game is completely UN-like other "online shooter games"

No thanks, if you want prestige ranks and what not go play the hundreds of kiddies games that have those childish reward systems in palce.

Howabout

first year player = Flight Officer
second year player = 2nd Lt.
third year player = Lt.
fourth year etc. etc.

See where I'm going with this?

Rank by seniority, kills don't count.

Afterall, rank doesn't always mean you're good. History proves that.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist tossing this in. Must be the beer.   :old:

-1 to the idea, but you could make it more workable by having average # of kills per tour rather than just the sum of all kills. Even then it would be skewed heavily by GVs and people who can get several thousand kills in a tour by spawn camping.

You talking bout me BRO?  :D
