Believe it.  Back in '01 I was inbound to Palwaukee in the B-24 and requested a low approach then closed traffic to a full stop.  Tower tells a biz jet that was also inbound to circle to give us time to make our pass and land.  The biz jet asks "So we have to burn fuel while this guy makes a low pass?" to which the controller replied "Any aircraft with guns has right of way."

I used to work outside tech support (AF) in Lone Star SMO, I have worked all of those sites. Best story is when some one was flying in to Meachum in a surplus A4 and lost his hydraulics on landing, no brakes, he coasted the whole length of the runway and collapsed his gear in the mud off of the north end...

uh....maybe you dont hear ATC calls much. I dont know if you do or not but Ive heard some funny stuff and Ive only been back seat drivin for about 2 years now.

About five times a week  ;).
I do hear funny stuff from time to time, I'm not saying it never happens. I just did not believe a few conversations that were posted.
