Wings of the luftwaffe?

Not to mention 4 episodes about Gunther Rall in the Missions that changed the war series.

Ice Road Truckers happened.

I'm thinking of pitching a show to them called "Hot Dog Vendors" in which bikini clad girls operate hot dog stands in south miami.

One episode we have Hollie experiencing a bully who overcharges for propane and later Wendy and Lisa get into a catfight over territory.

It's guaranteed to be put on heavy rotation.

Yes, this is a response posted elsewhere 4 years ago.

Military Channel = Americaz pwnzz joo all!!!

It's all one sided, you rarely see anything about the Axis or even any of the other major Allies.

Yeah and it has shows that show Israelis winning in 1973 it is very western biased they did have israeli and syrian tankers in the show.  However, they have German WWII aces on some of their programming talking about shooting down british, american and russian aircraft.  In fact they had a show called Wings of the Luftwaffe which talkked about only German Planes.

Unfortunately there is a reason for it to be pro-american not only is it run by an american company but it is hard to find a war where Americans have lost.  :D

Baggy pants with underwear showing crowd took over. Nothing requiring any intelligence on TV now.

You're completely right that the majority are about the US, but I'd say a solid 30% of the programming isn't.

One of the worst things about both of those channels is the glorifying of murderers and gang bangers. History channel has given just about every handsomehunk gang in the country their time in the spotlight. Now discovery has a show letting murderers tell their story of how they almost got away with it. What purpose does that serve other than to encourage/glorify sweetheartbags and keep the average law abiding people scared and locked in their houses. They are a joke like every other channel on tv. Nothing but carefully designed hypnosis/psychological warfare.

Go to the NOVA website and BBC and get all the documentaries you will ever want. PBS is also great for the stuff.

I really like that show "I almost got away with it", and the purpose it provides is it's entertaining to watch, I really don't think it encourages anyone to go out and commit crimes and they try to go on the run, I mean the show isn't "I got away with it" every episode ends the same way, with the person sitting behind bars in prison.

And how does this show make people scared to leave there houses, I mean by that logic the evening news does the same thing.

Look at the executive officers for the whole A&E network. It's gone the same direction as the BBC which is mostly run by women now. Women don't care about what makes a male audience watch programs. They would prefer you watch what they think is important and adjust the programing to garner femal viewership.

http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/people.asp?privcapId=725055

The president of SyFy(SciFi) from 98, Bonnie Hammer changed the genera from SciFi and action based genera to touchy feely to pull in more female subscribers. Thats why the logo was changed from SciFi to SyFy to attract young women. Now its devolved into wresteling for the guys with bimbos in space and ghost blunders for the girls. The current President David Howe of SyFy(Oxygen Channel in Space) gave this general response to a question about the channel's programing: We don't need SciFi nerds anymore, we have teenage girls.....The new theme for SyFy movies - 98 pound girls rule All Men drool.

Even the Cartoon Network is devolving into crapola......But, if you want to spend extra you can then get dedicated channels to whatever floats your boat. Action, Manga, Horror, real SciFi......Just how bad do you want what you want? Did you ever think in the end your wife and your mother would finaly win the boob tube channel controller war by dominating the Networks executive positions to dictate everything available that you can watch? 999 channels of femmitiude but nothing on.....

And you wonder why Comcast and ATT are imposing data caps on your broadband contracts. Anyone know any good free anime/manga sites that don't make you subscribe to a viewer download for their movies....I'm really tired of that message you have to wait 76 minutes to get part 2.... :bolt:

There's these things called books.  They tend to be better researched then most of the TV shows, and the variety covering all sides of conflicts is rather amazing.  I highly reccomend folks shutting off the TV and reading a few of those book things if they are interested in history :)

I about threw up when I saw the add for the show with Gunthar Rall.  "Hitler's Greatest pilot!"    Interestingly enough, much of the show I saw spent more time talking about Hub Zemke then it did Rall's experience.
