Playstation network.
« on: May 16, 2011, 04:24:35 PM »
Looks like they finally got it up, I turned my PS3 on a bit ago to watch a movie, there was a system update and it told me my password was no longer valid and prompted me for a new password. Did it just come up today, or am I tardy to the party?

Sony restarted it over the weekend, did it slowly though with restarting services seperately instead of all at once.

The only thing still down is the PlayStation Store and when it comes up, North American users get up to 4 free PS3 and/or PSP games and a couple of free weekend movie rentals.

id rather have the Xbox 360 network go offline for a while than having call of duty 5 being taken over by a bunch of infection hackers. unlimited ammo with unlimited health...yeah cause everybody loves their games being ruined.

That's what pissed me off, all of a sudden hackers started popping up in World at War (I will NEVER call it COD5 because there is no 5 in the title at all.) After a reporting spree, I gave up and started playing Bad Company 2 again.

I would certainly hope that a system released a full year later would be better. However, I've also never lost any personal information due to me having an account on Xbox Live, something MANY PSN users cannot say.

well like call of duty 4, the game got taken over by hackers about 3 months ago and it stopped in about 5 weeks. probably be the same for world at war. this is the 3rd week or so, so im sure its gonna go away soon enough.

Personally, the only one that is worth getting is Infamous, which is an excellent game.  On second thought, Dead Nation is a nice little time burner as well.
