very short lived, but very cool at the time, very expensive when it crashed, & it did. The Look made us young guys go ape just like you youngsters do now over the F-35 types.

Just an in-between bomber to make the Russians think we were keeping ahead of them, It was really loud! And sucked fuel like a sieve.

thank you. never heard of it. i thought it was the B-1 for a second, but the wings are different, and it has the canards on the nose.

     They have one at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio.  It's one of the few bombers I know of that looks like
it should get a speeding ticket for standing still  :D



     The B-58 would be the other one with a citation, even with that butt-ugly fuel/bomb pod on it :aok

Nope.

Was talking to a crew Member in the B-29 FiFi of the CAF said he was a engineer on the 29 and the 47.  Once the 47 got to altitude the Sabres couldn't keep up.
