I've always thought the Boeing E75/Stearman to be one of the most handsome aircraft ever built - especially with the engine cowling.

Right, & before F-4E/G they were using F-105 Thuds. I was a rigger, so climbing in the aircraft was rare unless something came loose from the ejection seat pack before take-off. Lots of drag chutes...we called them wild weasels because that was there job, regardless of designation. We didn't call the weasels Phantoms or vice versa. Even in Desert Storm the 4G's were called weasels.... :salute

I saw one of the last 2 seater Thuds come through Moody in 1983.  Thing had the world's biggest sharkmouth on it :)  The pics I found
on Google don't do it justice, had to be about 10 foot long.  Pretty sure it was a G model.

I honestly liked the F-22's looks better... of the two, the F-23 just looked like it had a pair of testicles strapped to the top of its head or back (in a wrong place).

Its sexy in a uniquely, oddly futuristic way in my opinion.

I personally don't like the look of the stearman...  :headscratch: :bolt:

Yeah having better planes than the soviets is a mistake.  Wait I don't get it?  Maybe I misread your post becasue of the spelling errors, which I hear are great for gaining credibility(so is this http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,33.0.html ).  F4s are great planes in fact we still get use out of them now as target drones.
lol Curry, they are a B n Z 'r and a great attack platform...  They look wicked and once they put the cannon in it, they were wicked. But most of all, they were tangible proof that a brick could fly when you bolt enough thrust on it!

Post WWII it would have to be the Hawker Hunter. (This one is Rhodesian, which is a plus.)

But of course the 109 is my true love.

I don't have a plane, but here's what was left of the plane my uncle flew after he was finished with it.

Jack Ilfrey (pilot of Happy Jacks Go Buggy) used to work for Frost bank (where my dad works) they have a cool little bit about him in his honor in the lobby of the San Antonio building. The P51 painted like his also lives in San Antonio.
