Geez I understand this whole touch screen crap but come on just leave Windows 7 alone. It actually works and works better than anything else you guys have put out in the last 25 years. Now if they would just get out of the browser wars it would be so much better.

Touch screens are "gimmicky" to me.  So is Win8.  All it is is a bunch of useless features that may be cool to play with for a day or two and then it will never be used.  That's pretty much everything these days.

It's all about making people think that they WANT these options when 99% of them.. even those who think they want it.. will never use it to its full potential.

They are? They aren't going anywhere, trust me.

Win8 will be aimed at syncing a portable device, like a Win based cellphone, to a PC much more easily. Microsoft made a mistake not getting into the cellphone OS market sooner and they are seeing the results now. A few originally portable OS may migrate now to PCs and may start to affect Microsft in the long term.

I heard of a technology in the process of contax lenses having computer screens on them that you control with your brain waves. Funny, I'd rather stick with my Touch screen phone.

Are you talking about the kinect based input? That's going to be even worse then touch screen. You need to wave like a martial artist to perform a task you earlier needed a 2cm mouse move and a click for

Still will be using XP.  Windows has not improved from a security stand point sinces in inception. Widgets arent enough for me to buy, learn and learn to hate all over again.
