how many USB plugs does the x52 with throttle have

is it a twisty?

The USB cord comes out of the throttle and the stick plugs into the throttle via a different kind of cable. X52 system only takes one USB port.

Yes the stick has a twist function, it also has a lock on it if you don't want the twist if you use pedals. There is no rocker on the throttle like some other HOTAS systems, you either twist or you get pedals.

I used the regular T-Flight for quite a while and it suited me well. Not a bad stick at all for the $30 range. The HOTAS version only has the same number of buttons as the regular one with the sliding throttle, which is a shame. I'd expect a HOTAS to have plenty of functions. I think it has a rocker on the throttle for rudder though, and I'm sure the stick twists just as the original does, so you've got more options there. That only uses one USB port as well.

it's far from junk...programmable, very rugged and lots of buttons as well as separate throttle...somewhat tricky to adjust as it is sensitive...if you have it adjusted right you can fly level without autopilot engaged.

thrustmaster and hercules brand are now owned by guillemot group...

thrustmaster was known for economy steering wheels for racing sims...they just recently developed the warthog hotas but it doesn't look like it's available in the u.s. yet...

You'll hear people say not to use the Saitek software.  I think that's bs.  Once you familiarize yourself with it, it's quite valuable.
There's X amount of buttons on that throttle & stick, as is.  Now add the ability to click your right pinky and double those commands.

yeah thats exactly what im looking for.i dont wanna have to touch to keyboard to operate any flight controls.all in my hands.i was thinkin about getting the MFP.but i think the x52 might have as many buttons as i need.today im going to make a mount for stick and throttle

I tried using Saitek software against everyone saying not to, and I found it finicky, slow, and downright unreliable. I had a slick control scheme set up but when I went to a SE Arena it just downright didn't work. Now I just map everything using AH, I've got all the controls I need on the stick after the latest update except for Zoom Toggle. Now I just press the Z key when I take off and use an analog control for Field of View, I never have to touch the keyboard otherwise.

when i had my x52 i had everything mapped to the stick.  only time i used the keyboard was to type.  i never used the software.  had no need for it.

Get a powered USB hub if you get one, they are power hogs. I thought mine was broken (spiking, loosing calibration) Picked up the one I posted below, problem solved

Not to rain on your parade LtTP but I'd advise you to use the SEARCH function as per X52's. A LOT of folks end up having calibration issues with time. I was one of them.
