It looked to me like they dyno'd it and then converted the rwhp number to crank hp.
I don't know why they'd do that but those magazine guys seem to do a lot of wacky stuff. It would make sense to convert it to compare to the claimed 412hp, but any car guy would want to know what it actually puts to the ground too.
yea, they do, and to be honest, i hadn't noticed before that they never said "rear wheel hp". i've never dealt with a horsepower dyno myself, so i thought that the readings from there were just that.....guess i was wrong. it happens.
fact it it's still the quickest of the pony cars, best handling(real world), and most popular.
noticed a red camaro, and a black camaro on the lot down at the ford dealer just a mile from my shop......the red one was labeled as a 2010. wonder which stang they bought.
