We are a fighter squadron primarily but we do use all of the modes of combat that AH offers. If anyone is interested in joining us, let us know by posting here or letting us know when you see us in the game. However, space is limited and selection is not guaranteed. We ask that you fly with us for a week or so and evaluate us and in turn, be evaluated. We fly together and fight together using actual air combat tactics. You generally won't find us split up across the map. Teamwork is the cornerstone of our style; we fly to win and return to base. The fun for us is shooting down our adversary(s) and returning to base, damaged or not, to land our kills.... Score/Rank is of low importance but it does matter to a certain extent (in a friendly competition of sorts and vs. our opponents). Our way calls for communication and situational awareness at all times. Not only will you have to know where you are but your squad mates as well. We fly as one unit, each with eyes out for the other. We fly our aircraft to the best of their capabilities but we do not all fly the same aircraft on any given sortie...we often will but we're not that rigid. We use actual air combat manuevers in our sorties as much as possible. No dedicated squadron nite has been established as yet but that may come later on as we on the East Coast, head towards Fall and Winter. We also train in the dueling arena and practice basic ACM. Like the squadron nite, no dedicated training nite has been established yet...that too may be implemented at first on an "as needed" basis and then maybe a dedicated nite will be established (in both cases, time zone differences and other things will be accomodated as much as possible) As is said in the fighter community..."Fight like you train; train like you fight."
Several of us are Aces High Vets with 10 or more years experience in the unfriendly skies of the Late War Arena. That is where you'll generally find us. If you're interested in us, let one of us know, we'll be glad to talk to you about it.
