03:20 Lu in F6F turns into you, I have no doubt he was trying to get around to HO you but you win accept it regardless and win that HO. Then 03:47 RedDevil comes in with a 40 mph advantage and trys to get out of guns, again you have your pipper straight on him coming up to the merge as he rejects the HO on the merge you shoot him, 5:48 is kinda dubious as well 06:08 another nose to nose merge RedDevil has the airspeed to maneavour his plane to put guns on you, I think his mistake is rejecting the HO something you take full advantage of.

06:28 you again accept a HO on the merge and win it.

I feel some sympathy for RedDEVIL here, he went out to have a fight with you and you took advantage of the fact he didn't want to simply stick his dot on your dot head on and squeeze the trigger. Now your going to say oh but he didn't have guns on me, well if both people keep guns on each other in a merge the 2 collide, your taking advantage of the fact he doesn't want to ram you.

The fact you left his conversation with him in the film tells me you don't really see much problem with flying this way. Personally if you are training people to fly in this way thats something they could figure out themselves.

The only thing I've learnt here is the jug can take a lot of punishment has lots of guns and ammo so the best thing to do is HO everyone. That might sound harsh but thats what I see in this video.

My first thoughts of thunderpockets film makes me question whether his aim is extremely horrible or his ACM really involves only Hoing the hell out of everyone. The Ho attempt on the F6F? Seriously? It was well away from other enemies, he could of simply shown some moves but instead pulled a midway and went for the easy Ho attempt. second shot was nothing more then spray and pray, with even more horrible aim. And the RedDevil fight, Deflection shot probably but its clear anything that flashes in front of you means spray and pray. Zodiac - Spraying from 1k out? Seriously?

Sorry only reason lepape might have a hard time killing you, he probably doesn't HO the living day lights out of someone on a cold merge.

accualy when me and lepape fight we do a cold merge.if we want to change the rules we do.as for the HOs,we had a cv close and I was trying to get easy/fastest kills i could to protect it.

That is what it looks like if the reversal is done correctly. A good reversal is one where the defender anticipates the intentions of the enemy so well that they can predict exactly what the enemy will do. What you are mistaking as their 'not trying' is actualy Joachim's excellent flying and perfect mental calculation.

My thoughts are:     

Overall SA:  B  Both ponies had you dead to rights at 1:19.  Both had low aspect shots in the horizontal but missed.  After they announced their arrival you handled things well.  I would have rolled over left over the top on the trailing Pony at 1:30, you put yourself in a sandwich, trailing pony had a good shot at 1:35 and missed.  Despite all this it is difficult to imagine doing any better myself in real-time.

Gunnery:  A-  Disciplined shooting generally on target. Odds necessitated taking low Pk snapshots when able.  Jug ammo load and psychological factors made the snapshots very much worthwhile.  Beautiful use of rudder throughout, I especially liked the snapshot at 2:37!

Energy awareness: B+  As far as I can tell you never touched throttle or flaps.  Jockeying this is almost impossible when manipulating views but can speed up targeting solutions (throttle) and save E (flaps).

Angles awareness: A  If you pry angles awareness away from general SA, this was outstanding. All your shots were well anticipated.

Judgement/Chivalry: B  You didn't HO at 1:59 but you did finish off the one winger to the peril of placing yourself in the La7s engagement envelope.  (Did you make it home?)  Did the Pony deserve to die? Sure, but you probably had a 30% chance of getting the kill as he crashed on your RTB.

Closing thoughts:  If you had been flying something other than a Jug, allowing 4-5 snapshots to land will likely cripple you. (This is why I fly the Jug  ;))
In the MA a 2v1 or worse is less than the sum of its parts.  Why?  Everyone is trying to beat their buddy to the kill to the detriment of their own ACM.  I've seen 8 reds 400 off my six cut their number in half through killshooting.  Had any Pony elected to climb just 15 sec while his bud tied you in a scissors the story might likely have been different but nobody did this because they perceived the odds to be grossly in their favor until just before your .50s ripped them apart.  These thoughts take nothing from your accomplishment; plane selection and psychology are parts of the game too :aok

 Many times reviewers will discern what the enemy did wrong. It's easy to do this but what really matters is what the single plane did right. It's very easy with hindsight to think ' I could have done better if I were attacking you', but this is also true if you watch your own films. you can find yourself thinking, how did I miss that shot? Why did I let myself overshoot there? How did I not concentrate on the right con at the right time? Etc, etc. In the heat of the dogfight things are never as easy as they seem on the film review. Just a random thought not directed at anyone.
