Yup, anyone who uses IE gets what they deserve, esp since I think the default is accept ALL cookies (hopefully that's not the case now)

Well really I think thats unacceptable for a file sharing site, I'll be removing all mine and looking for somewhere new. I think this has only happened in the last few days I tried to download some older links I had in posts on this forum with IE and it worked fine?

Oh really? what anti virus are you using and what did it say when you downloaded it or clicked on the link?

I don't think you understood what I said.  I said that the file sharing site you are using is launching a pop-up anti-AV ad that when clicked on will embed a virus on your machine.  You can "get rid" of the virus by paying the ad sponsor to clean it up.  In reality they leave it and put it in hibernation.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with your file.  I did say that I wouldn't use a site that allows this.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Personally I have found Avira, recommended by the MBAM folks, to be effective, and it is free.  It found this virus immediately when others, such as Norton and Kasperky, did not.  Of course, your mileage may vary.
