I'd up several ponies from a nearby base and drop their fighter hangers, strip their field ack, and vulch 'em on rtb.

That is one of my acceptable three...  :aok  Or the Spit16, or the LA7, depending on how much altitude over the base they have and if the goon is close.

If the base you were upping from is under heavy attack, what would you use to defend it?  Not saying you wouldn't up from a different
base, but I am curious as to what people might choose, if there was no other choice.  For me It'd be the Hurri II-C with 50% fuel...

If it's a full cap I might take a 190A8 or a 110 and ho a few of them.   :D

Keep uping 110s.  Some vulchers will HO you and die, some will keep killing you.  At the end, they are either dead or out of ammo.  They lose focus and they keep raking up kills intead of protecting goons or taking down guns.  Once it gets lighter because they died or they are out of ammo, up a LALA and either look for goons or hunt the surviving vulchers down. For bets results kill them while they are landing and then enjoy 200.

Pork the ords at all close bases then they can't kill the hangars. No one take time to pork the enemy assets. Yes they can resupply but if they are driving M-3 with supplies they ain't killing you.

Just because nobody's mentioned it, C205 with 25%.  Good guns, climbs well, fast enough, generates perks well.

The enemy wants you to take up a plane because you are at the extreme disadvantage.  The last thing they want to see is no airplanes and a sea of wirbels.

or a Brewster. Hitting power is a little light, but that makes it fun. Fly it straight for more than a half a second during a furball vulchfest, though, you'll be toast.

HOrricane C.  With so many horders desperate and fighting one another for the scraps, many will actually take the HO gambit despite having every advantage.

Brewster is a good one - up it from the hanger and you have a fair chance of getting airborne and being able to make a tight turn to throw off the vulcher that is already on his way down for you.

Failing that, try some B-17s with 25% and a light bombload.  Kick on a notch of flaps and see if you can get off the ground and into the tail or top turret before they get you.  Either they burn up a lot of ammo taking you down, or you get up and can return fire.
